Step 1: Name Availability

We would first check the availability of a name for the NGO by submitting an application either physically or online.

Step 2: Licence Application

Once the name is available, we would apply for a license under section 42 of the Companies Act. To do this, we would need to submit the required documents to the Director/Head of Department of the Licensing Department at SECP.

Step 3: Incorporation as a Company

After obtaining the license, we would submit the necessary documents within 60 days for incorporation of the company to the Commission’s Business Center.

Step 4: Documents Submission

Required documents for incorporation include the application form, approved copies of Memorandum & Articles of Association, CNIC/passport copies of promoters and witnesses, copy of the license issued by SECP, copies of NTN certificates of directors, special power of attorney, copy of name availability letter, and paid challan of necessary registration and filing fee.

Step 5: Approval

The Commission would then review the submitted documents, and if everything is satisfactory, issue a certificate of incorporation.

Step 6: Issuance of Certificate

Once the certificate of incorporation is issued, the NGO is considered legally registered and can operate under the provisions of section 42 of the Companies Act.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATIONS of NGO

Documents required for registrations

To register an NGO in Pakistan, several documents are required.

  • Form-I

  • Partnership Deed on a Stamp Paper of Rs. 1000/-

  • Receipt regarding submission of Registration Fee in NBP

  • Affidavit on a Stamp Paper of Rs. 5/-

  • Copy of lease agreement / ownership of the office address alongside a copy of a utility bill (Office of the Firm should be in Commercial Area)

  • Copy of Computerized valid N.I.C of all the Partners and Witnesses.
